The purpose of the event is to bring awareness of entrepreneurship as an alternative solution for exoffenders who are having challenges in job placement. I’d like to allow exoffenders the opportunity to voice their concerns or challenges with entrepreneurship (self employment) as well as allow government officials, business and community leaders to share their perspectives and collectively propose solutions to some of the challenges. We can use some of the proposed solutions for program development and improvement as well as in advocacy for policy changes.
