OhioMBE Procurement Fairs: Making New Connections

The OhioMBE Procurement Fairs have been introducing small and minority owned business to purchasing opportunities for the past four years.  Business owners are allotted 15 minutes appointments to meet one-on-one to promote their product/service to organizations interested in purchasing inclusion.

Since its inception, business owners have had access to  contracting opportunities exceeding $150 million dollars. Over 200 small businesses have attended and 125 organizations have been matched with introductions to business owners.

John Larkin, senior with Electronic Systems Consultants, is a regular participant at the OhioMBE Procurements said his attendance has been beneficial to his business.

“I have been able to make connections with other small businesses and organizations. My participation has been time well spent,” Larkin said.

“I coordinate the OhioMBE Procurement Fairs to provided access to purchasing opportunities and decision makers,” said OhioMBE Publisher Ronda Barber.  “Business owners simply want the chance to highlight their product or service.  They want contracts.  I am facilitating introductions with the hope it will result in future business.”
