opened and read aloud for:

A Pre-Bid Conference will be held by the Housing Authority at the AMHA Service Center, 1159 Exeter Road, Akron,
Ohio 44306, on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 27, 2018 at 3:00 P.M.
All bids must be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the amount of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) and must be in the form of a Certified or Cashier’s check on a solvent bank, made payable to the AMHA. The bid guaranty submitted with the bid will be held as a guarantee that if the proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered into.
NOTICE OF REQUIREMENT FOR AFFIRMATIVE ACTION TO ENSURE EQUAL EMPLOYMENT (Governor’s Order of January 27, 1972)
Bidders’ attention is called to the provision for “EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY CLAUSE” and the “STANDARD FEDERAL EQUAL EMPLOYMENT CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT SPECIFICATIONS”. The goals, timetables, compliance and regulations set for in the Executive Order deemed part of this solicitation by reference. Each bidder must insure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin.
The Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to re-advertise our bids, and to waive any
informality in bids received whenever such rejections, re-advertisement or waiver is in the best interest of the Housing Authority.
No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Akron
Metropolitan Housing Authority.
