 Water Division Administrator 

This full-time Water Division Administrator position will plan, coordinate, and direct the Division of Water operations and oversee a professional management staff. Duties will include directing personnel responsible for designing, constructing, operating, and maintaining water supply and treatment facilities, water distribution systems, watershed properties, and water research laboratory. Directing the engineering staff engaged in preparing preliminary plans, cost estimates, and construction project inspections. Overseeing the preparation of the division’s budget, financial records, reports, statements, legislation, and other related documents, ensuring the maintenance of reports, records, and documents. Reviewing, evaluating, and recommending changes to the water rate structure. Reviewing and approving contracts, work orders, and changes in plans, designs and specifications. Directing the operations of a meter reading and repair unit. Directing the preparation of proposed legislation authorizing construction projects and transfer of funds and directing all personnel and labor matters within the division, including selection and appraisal of personnel and disciplinary actions.

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree and seven (7) years of managerial experience in a water utility that included policy formulation, budget responsibility, and supervision in at least one (1) of the following areas:  Water distribution systems, water supply and treatment, professional engineering, or another closely related area.  Substitution(s):  A master’s degree may be substituted for one (1) year of the required experience. State of Ohio certificate as a registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) is highly preferred for the position. The salary range is: $121,410 – $202,342 annually.
