This networking event is hosted by the City of Columbus Department of Finance and Management, Office of Diversity and Inclusion, and Pizzuti. will be held on September 27, 2022 at 1111 E. Broad Street (Jerry Hammond Building) Columbus, OH 43205 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Colonial Room.

Attendees will meet teams from the City of Columbus and Pizzuti Solutions, learn more about the Municipal Court project and anticipated project timelines.

The Municipal Court Construction Manager at Risk (CMaR) project. It has 20% MBE/WBE participation and 20% construction goals. The proposed issue of the CMaR RFSQ is October 3, 2022. The deadline for submitting a proposal is tentatively October 31, 2022. The project description is as follows:

  • The location of the building is the 300 block of South High Street, Columbus, Ohio on a 1.92 Acre site.
  • The estimated construction cost is $210 Million.
  • The estimated size of the building will be between 345,000 and 378,000 sq. ft.
  • The building will have at least 26 courtrooms/hearing rooms. There will be around 10 floors plus a basement level.
  • The estimated construction will start in the Spring of 2024 with a project completion around June 2027.

The scope of work for the CMaR includes:

  • Construction Management and Supervision
  • Project Reporting, Cost Estimating and Scheduling
  • Site Logistics and Site Management Services (such as site layout and survey control, job trailer procurement, cleaning, waste management, construction labor parking management, off-site material storage, etc.)
  • Construction document and project-related printing
  • Quality Assurance/ Quality Control
  • Licensed Hazardous Material Abatement Advisory/Design Services
  • Diversity Outreach and Inclusion Services
  • Web-based Jobsite Camera/ Drone Photography
  • FFE/ AV procurement
  • General Labor, Move Management, and Move services
