Publisher’s Notes: Are the suburban school districts inclusive in their purchasing?

Publisher’s Notes:  I am finding it very interesting that most of the suburban school districts in Central Ohio are not interested in participating in the OhioMBE Procurement Fairs.  The OhioMBE Procurement Fairs are an excellent way for purchasing agents to be introduced to small and minority owned businesses. Gahanna City Schools, Bexley City School, Whitehall City Schools and South West City Schools either haven’t returned calls or emails or have decided good faith efforts to meet with minority, women and small businesses isn’t a priority.

The districts mentioned do have students of color in attendance. They also have residents of color who pay taxes.  Are these districts inclusive in their purchasing practices?  What minority owned businesses have received contracts with these PUBLIC school districts?  Just my thoughts…RWB
