Columbus City Schools AGAIN failed to meet its purchasing inclusion goal of 20 percent. The same CCS Board of Education asking for your vote– voted only to spend 5% of the budget with disadvantaged vendors last school term. Do you think they deserve your loyalty at election time? Who is getting contracts in the predominately Black public school district? Who sends legislation to the board that doesn’t have LEDE participation? Why can’t the district meet the inclusion goal? Where is the equity? Do systemic and institutional racism play apart in the district failing to meet the inclusion 20% goal?
