Ben Jealous to speak at Ohio NAACP’s Champions of Diversity Awards
The Ohio Conference NAACP is proud to announce this year’s nominees for the 3rd Annual Ohio Champions of Diversity Awards. The Champions of Diversity awards nominees were selected by the Ohio Conference NAACP COD Awards Committee based upon information gathered through a distributed survey form, public information, in depth interviews with company diversity managers, company staff and management and general community feedback. Only organizations that have an Ohio employment base of greater than 500 were eligible. Categories include development, leadership, outreach, supplier and workforce.
“On behalf of the Ohio Conference NAACP we congratulate the organizations who have been nominated for a 2013 Ohio Champions of Diversity Award and for the outstanding progress they have demonstrated through their perspective best practices in diversity and inclusion initiatives.” said Ohio Conference NAACP President Sybil Edwards-McNabb. “The Champions of Diversity Awards Celebration provides an opportunity to recognize those Ohio organizations that have made solid efforts that have generated real measurable results in area of diversity and inclusion.” continued Edwards-McNabb.
The award winners will be announced at the 3rd Annual Ohio Champions of Diversity Awards Luncheon on September 25th, 2013 at the Aladdin Shrine Event and Conference Center from 12 noon to 2:00 PM. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. The keynote speaker will be Benjamin Todd Jealous, National President of the NAACP.
The Ohio Conference NAACP Champions of Diversity Career & Business Expo will be held from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Thursday September 26th, 2013 at the Aladdin Shrine Event & Conference. The Ohio Conference NAACP Champions of Diversity Virtual Career Fair will be held beginning Monday, September 24th at 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Friday, September 27th on line at www.CareerTown.Net & www.ChampionsOfDiversity.com.
