Women from across Ohio came together today at Gilbane Building Company’s new office on W. Broad Street in Columbus for the Women in the Construction Industry Lunch. Organized by the Ohio Business Development Center (OHBDC) and hosted by Gilbane, the event featured a tour of their modern facility, networking opportunities over lunch, and practical advice on how to do business with Gilbane.
“This tour was designed to connect women in construction with meaningful opportunities,” said Ronda Watson Barber, OHBDC founder and CEO. “It’s inspiring to see participants build connections and share resources that empower their businesses.”
Special thanks to Marleise K. Ryan, ECMCA, Economic Inclusion Manager, and the Gilbane team for facilitating an insightful and engaging event.
The Women in the Construction Industry Lunch is a signature program of OHBDC. Past tours have included visits to Kokosing, Marker Construction, and Pepper Construction, offering women in construction access to leading companies and valuable resources.
