Substation Maintenance Supervisor – EXAM

The City of Columbus Department of Public Utilities is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Substation Maintenance Supervisor.  To apply, you must first take the open competitive examination. The application window is currently open and candidates can submit an application online to the Civil Service Commission at http://www.columbus.gov/civilservice by Friday, January 31, 2020.  The Substation Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and participating in the testing, installation, and maintenance of transformers, switches, regulators, and related electrical distribution equipment; performs related duties as required. To qualify you must have three (3) years of experience testing and repairing transformers and installing switches, regulators, and related electricity distribution equipment. Possession of a valid Class A commercial motor vehicle operator’s license allowing operation of vehicles with air brakes.
