The African American population is now an economic force to be reckoned with as reported by the National Association of Black Accountants in response to the Nielsen Company study, “African-American Consumers: Still Vital, Still Growing,” . The Nielsen study showed numerous shopping trends, mostly for household, health and beauty, travel, smart phones, and child related items.

Opportunities to include African Americans in media and marketing plans have in past been missed because of relying on higher profits in other markets that are commonly thought to be stronger.

Learn how to reach minority consumers by learning more about them and building public relations with effort, time, and understanding.

TIP: Do your offerings fit into one of these five top categories serving the black community?  Learn how to service an underserved area of economy that has obtained a 30% lead over others. Use the Nielsen study to understand African-American buying habits, trends and avoid missing out on serving one of the fastest growing communities in America.
