Engineer III-
This full-time position will perform all duties associated with the management of the Operations and Maintenance Support group within the Distribution Engineering Section. It will direct the unit’s activities regarding back-flow compliance and field activities for the distribution system, along with providing general supervision to staff. This position will direct the preparation of reports such as the monthly operator report for back-flow compliance, pump testing, valves operations, and other reports related to the water distribution system operations. This position will also represent the division by speaking to various audiences, including but not limited to civic associations, state, county, municipal organizations, consulting engineering groups, and contractors. Additionally, this position will assist with preparing and monitoring the operating budget for the group.
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess a valid State of Ohio certificate as a registered Professional Engineer and three (3) years of professional engineering experience which includes some supervisory experience over professional engineers or engineering projects. Substitution(s): Possession of a valid State of Ohio certificate as a registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) and nine (9) years of practical engineering experience, which includes two (2) years of experience supervising Professional Engineers or engineering projects. Candidates must also possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license. The salary range for this position is: $83,346 – $125,008 annually.
