RUMPKE Project, 1178 Joyce Avenue, Columbus (Elford, Inc.)
Located in the American Addition community on Joyce Avenue, Rumpke is building the 5th largest and most advanced recycling center in the world. There will be an approximately 200,000SF sorting and processing area, and a 32,000SF Class A office to support Rumpke’s staff, as well as classroom, exhibit, and research space for The Ohio State University and COSI. Rumpke is committed to diversity and inclusion and seeks to include local MBE and WBE trade partners in the project. We will be looking for participants in the following trades: Concrete, Masonry, Structural Steel, Manufactured Cabinets, Doors, Trim, Door Hardware, Roofing, Siding, Drywall, Metal Studs, Building Insulation, Flooring, Painting, Division 10, Mechanicals, Final Clean, and Site Improvements. The project is scheduled to go out for bid in September 2022 and start construction in January 2023.
UPPER ARLINGTON COMMUNITY CENTER, 3160 Tremont Road, Upper Arlington (Elford Inc. & Continental Building Company JV)
This is a multi-story building of approximately seven floors housing a community center, approximately 95,000 gross square feet, on five floors and leasable office space of 60,000 square feet or less on two floors. Rooftop level spaces are also anticipated. The community center is anticipated to include aquatics, gymnasiums, exercise floor, a senior lounge, running/ walking track, serving/demonstration kitchen, meeting rooms, arts and crafts space, child watch and indoor play area, and associated administration and gathering spaces. Upper Arlington is committed to having a diverse construction team! The following trades will be included: Concrete, Steel, Earthwork, Masonry, Roofing, Fireproofing, Glazing, Waterproofing, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Flooring, Painting, Concrete, Signage, Miscellaneous Metals, Final Cleaning, Window Treatments, Landscaping, Gymnasium and Equipment. This project is scheduled to go to bid in November 2022.
PEERLESS – 50 E 7th Ave. APARTMENTS Project, Columbus (Elford, Inc.)
Located at 50-66 E. 7th Avenue in Columbus, OH, the new construction of 125 apartment units ranging from single-bed studios to 3-bedroom suites. There will be a total of six floors, five of which will be wood-framed construction over a single story of post-tension concrete. The building size is approximately 150,000 total square feet. The project has committed to making best efforts to include our local MBE, WBE, and SBE trade partners in the project and is working to strategize opportunities for the project. We will be looking for participants in the following trades: Concrete, Masonry, Structural Steel, Manufactured Cabinets, Doors, Trim, Door Hardware, Roofing, Siding, Drywall, Metal Studs, Building Insulation, Flooring, Painting, Division 10, Mechanicals, and Site Improvements. The project is scheduled to go out for bid in September 2022 and start construction in January 2023.
