COLUMBUS- State Rep. Dani Isaacsohn (D-Cincinnati) has been appointed the ranking member of the Finance Subcommittee on Primary and Secondary Education. He released the following statement today on his Ohio House of Representatives committee assignments for the 135th General Assembly:
“There is nothing more important than educating our kids and investing in the next generation. I am humbled to have the opportunity to serve in this leadership role on behalf of my constituents and will work as hard as I can to fully and equitably fund our schools,” said Rep. Isaacsohn.
Rep. Isaacsohn will also serve on the following committees:
· Government Oversight
· Ways and Mean
· Technology and Innovation
The Finance Subcommittee on Primary and Secondary Education serves the purpose of representing the monetary needs of K-12 education entities within the state operating budget. Rep. Isaacsohn holds the view that education is the best investment our government could make. It is his top priority to ensure that Ohio’s children, teachers, and families receive the resources they need to thrive in our education system and beyond.
In his capacity as a member of the Government Oversight Committee, Rep. Isaacsohn will be tasked with ensuring the State Government of Ohio efficiently and effectively carries out its governmental duties. Rep. Isaacsohn will also be responsible for aiding the Ways and Means Committee with the important job of raising the revenue required to finance the State Government. The Technology and Innovation Committee serves the purpose of analyzing and adopting new practices, processes and technologies in the State.
