Franklin County issues RFP for Construction Manager at-risk

DATE AND TIME OF PROPOSAL OPENING: January 29, 2024, at 3:00 P.M.

SUMMARY OF PROJECT/PROPOSAL: The Franklin County Board of Commissioners, Franklin County, Ohio, submittals from interested parties with proven experience to provide Construction Manager At-Risk services associated with the planning, design, and construction of the new Franklin County Downtown Facility at the Franklin County Government Center. 

The Project is to be located on the site of the existing vacant downtown jail. The Project scope of work for the Construction Manager at Risk includes potential abatement and selective demolition of the existing downtown jail, followed by construction of a new mixed-use facility. The planned scope for the Project includes an at-grade level of about 45,800 gross square feet, accessed from Front Street. One level above this, the Early Learning Center entrance will be aligned with and connected to the FCGC main entrance and concourse level. Outdoor play space of about 18,500 square feet will also be located on this level. The ELC is estimated at about 45,800-50,300 GSF on three levels of about 16,700 GSF each.
