Facilities Master Plan Projects – Segments 1, 2 & 3 

Columbus City Schools is seeking a qualified vendor to provide Energy Management Services to maintain the HVAC equipment and systems for the new and renovated buildings included in Segments 1, 2 and 3 of the Facilities Master Plan in a manner that, according to the manufacturer’s recommended performance standards, provides the highest level of energy efficiency and occupant comfort, minimizes unscheduled downtime, and extends equipment life.

Project scope includes the development, implementation and maintenance of an energy management system for 42 new and/or renovated schools included in Segments 1, 2 and 3 of the Columbus Facilities Master Plan. The negotiated contract will include guaranteed energy savings.

An information meeting will be held on February 19, 2014, at the Capital Improvements office, 889 E. 17th Ave. at 3:00 pm. A detailed Request for Qualifications will be available at the meeting and will be posted to the district’s website:  http://www.ccsoh.us/OfficeofCapitalImprovements.aspx

Responding firms will be evaluated and selected pursuant to Ohio Revised Code 153.65-71. Selection criteria may include but is not limited to relevant past work of prospective firm and proposed consultants, qualifications of individuals who will be involved in the project, current and future workload, quality control procedures, location of primary firm relative to project locations. The lead firm is to be a licensed engineering firm.

Interested firms are required to participate in the district’s Outreach Program and must indicate in its Statement of Qualifications its intent to contract with and use LEDE -certified Business Enterprise(s), as a part of the team and the percentage of the contract to be provided by the LEDE certified business. Firms are required to submit their Statement of Qualifications on Form F110-330CCS.  Firms may submit five paper copies or one electronic submittal as noted in the Request for Qualifications. Deadline for submissions of Statements of Qualifications is March 3, 2014 at 4:00 pm. Paper copies are to be delivered to Capital Improvements at 889 E. 17th Ave., Columbus, Ohio.
