Nicole M. Pearson graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2005, with a BA degree in Criminal Justice. She had hopes of pursuing a career in law enforcement and working in the Criminal Justice field. Unfortunately what you don’t learn in college is that, it’s not about what you know but who you know. Nicole spent months applying for job after job; finally she landed a job working as a recruiter for a non-profit organization. Not being fulfilled with that job, Nicole found herself working as a campaign organizer and council aid for a Cincinnati City Councilmember.
While working as a council aid, Nicole began to research a few business ideas. The business idea that Nicole fell in love with was medical transportation, transporting people to and from medical appointments and recreational visits. Helping people is something that Nicole has always wanted to do in her career. Nicole being at a crossroads in her life, it was either purse a career in law enforcement or purse a career while owning her own business. Nicole, brought her research to her friend and with much more research, the two decided to form a partnership and start their own wheelchair transportation service.
Nicole was so driven to start the business, that she was able to start their transportation service within 10 months. On October 2, 2006, In Good Hands Medical Transportation, LLC began their business and landed a very lucrative contract with Tri-Health Senior Link. This year In Good Hand Medical Transportation, LLC celebrates its 8th year in business. In Good Hands Medical Transportation, LLC is also welcoming its sister business the In Good Hands Group, LLC. This is a Developmental Disabilities home care service. The business will not only provide transportation services, but also home care services to various DD clients.
Nicole and her partner Kisha Williams plan on expanding into other business ventures, but their goal will always be to help and serve others.
