Walsh Construction seeks bids for City of Massillon WWTP Improvements project

Walsh Construction Company II, LLC encourages bids from all qualified subcontractors/suppliers
including MBE, and WBE firms for 2013 City of Massillon WWTP Improvements project, Bid is due on Friday, November 6th, 2015.

Description of project is as follows:

The Project and Work for the Project consists of all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary for construction of the project identified as 2013 WWTP Improvements Project – Contract No. 2, General Construction (“the Project”), all in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications prepared by the Design Professional. The Project must be substantially complete within 791 calendar days of Owner’s issuance of the Notice to Proceed.

The WWTP Improvements Project increases the rated capacity to 17-MGD and completes various modifications including BNR upgrade. Primary Effluent Pump Station (PEPS) pumps and Biological Treatment Integrated Fixed-Film Activated Sludge (IFAS) equipment were pre-purchased under separate contracts (1a, 1b). Contract 2 – General Construction – includes, but is not limited to: Fine Screens and building, Odor Control system, PEPS structure, Anaerobic/Anoxic tankage and IFAS retrofit, Tertiary Filtration replacement, Pre-Thickeners retrofit, Boiler Room, chemical feed, inter-unit piping, and ancillary systems (HVAC/Plumbing, Instrumentation & Control, Electrical).

A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. on October 19, 2015 at the Project Site: 100 Big Indian Drive SW, Massillon, Ohio 44646.

Scope of work includes some of the following: demo, earthwork, cast in place, masonry, structural steel,rough carpentry, doors and windows, overhead coiling doors, miscellaneous finishes, protective lining for concrete, HVAC, plumbing, electrical.
