Secretary Husted Announces the February 2016 Ohio Business Profile Theme as Minority Owned Businesses

COLUMBUS –Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted today announced theOhio Business Profile Program will be featuring “Minority Owned Businesses” throughout the month of February.

“More than 80,000 minority owned businesses are contributing to Ohio’s economy and giving back to their communities,” Secretary Husted said. “Each day these businesses serve their customers, provide great jobs to their employees and are an inspiration to others in their community that want to become businesses owners or entrepreneurs.”

Companies profiled this month include:

  • Caring Hands Transportation of Ohio(Columbus, Ohio) is a non-emergency medical transportation provider that assists Franklin County residents, including senior citizens and disabled individuals.
  • JJ Drafting Service(Cincinnati, Ohio) provides architectural design and drafting services for residential construction using cutting edge technology and employing over a decade of experience and expertise.
  • Ardent Technologies(Centerville, Ohio) provides IT services including staffing, custom software development, application integration and cyber-security to government entities, higher education institutions and companies around the country.
  • Dos Hermanos Taco Truck(Columbus, Ohio) serves authentic traditional Mexican food inspired by family recipes and made with fresh ingredients at their restaurant, mobile food truck and catering services.
  • Studio 329 Salon and Boutique(Toledo, Ohio) is a full-service hair salon and boutique that takes pride in their charitable work including sponsoring victims of domestic violence at the Aura House and providing makeovers for homeless women at the Sparrow’s Nest.
  • YEP! Fitness(Cincinnati, Ohio) helps Cincinnati residents reach their health and fitness goals through personal training, exercise and nutrition. Yep! Fitness partnered with community and health organizations to develop the Greater Cincinnati Outdoor Gym to encourage an active community.
  • Nativa(Columbus, Ohio) is a multicultural communications and advertising agency that provides digital and traditional marketing services and focuses on the Hispanic market.
  • On Point Hair and Nail Salon(Cleveland, Ohio) offers salon and spa services and is active in giving back to the community by serving St. Margaret House residents and donating to the Pure Production Company that assists victims of domestic violence.
  • Carmen’s Deli and Bistro(Dayton, Ohio) is a family-owned restaurant that serves the residents of Dayton hand crafted meals made with fresh ingredients. Due to growth in the region, the business was able to expand and include dinner service in their bistro.
