Al Edmondson making positive contributions to his community

Al Edmondson is the president of the historic Mount Vernon District Improvement Association (MVDIA), founder and CEO of the Making a Difference, Inc. Foundation, and owner of the Cut Above the Rest barber shop.  He is working hard to provide positive images and programming in his community.

Al began his service to country and community in the United States Army during Operation Desert Storm, where he received a Bronze Star award for bravery.

As a longtime resident of the Near Eastside of Columbus, Ohio, and a proud graduate of East High School, he has demonstrated his commitment to area neighborhoods by spearheading grass root community service programs and initiatives for more than 15 years.

Edmondson has found another way to serve near Eastside residents. Grandma Closet focuses on providing affordable clothing for job interviews and school uniforms.   Customers can get clothes, coats, hats and few household items.
