Launched in 2012, the Women’s Business Center of Central Ohio is a small business incubator and co-working space, and the hub of training for ECDI. Services offered by the WBC include one-on-one business coaching and technical assistance, in-depth training workshops, and links to mentors and professional networks. WBC members belong to a community of entrepreneurs, from nascent start-ups to emerging growth-stage business owners.

Over the past year, Shaundretta has served as Lead ECDI Relationship Manager for the Women’s Business Center. During this time, she developed strong relationships with our members, using her 15+ years of financial expertise to propel clients onto a lending-ready and profitable path for their businesses. Inna Kinney added, “an entrepreneur at heart, and champion of women in business, Shaundretta was a natural fit to fill the position of Director of the Women’s Business Center of Central Ohio.”
As Director of the Women’s Business Center of Central Ohio Shaundretta will foster an environment of learning, growth and empowerment for entrepreneurs at all stages of business development and has big plans for expanding the WBC’s impact in the Central Ohio small business ecosystem. Shaundretta is committed to learning from WBC members in her efforts to provide a robust curriculum that is responsive to the ever-evolving needs and challenges of small business owners.
A good idea backed by a capital injection is not all that it takes to build a successful business. Entrepreneurship studies and ECDI’s own experience have demonstrated that training and access to networks of other business owners are often the critical missing pieces. The WBC is here to provide the support—through coaching, training, valuable referrals, and access to networks and markets—that entrepreneurs require to reach the next level of sustainability and success.
