City of Columbus to Offer Free City Tax Assistance on Saturdays Before Filing Deadline

The Columbus Division of Income Tax will be open on Saturday, April 6 and Saturday, April 13 to help Columbus residents who need assistance filing their City returns free of charge. Income Tax Auditors will be available to serve walk-in taxpayers from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on these two Saturdays before the April 15 filing deadline.

“The Division of Income Tax has always offered outstanding taxpayer service during traditional business hours,” said Columbus City Auditor Megan Kilgore. “Offering free filing assistance on Saturdays helps make our customer service more accessible to taxpayers who can’t make it to our office during the work week.”

The Division of Income Tax is located at 77 N. Front St. Walk-ins are also welcome Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Free parking for visiting taxpayers is available at 141 N. Front St.

The filing deadline for City of Columbus income tax returns is April 15, 2019. All City tax forms, instructions, and updates are available at www.columbus.gov/IncomeTaxDivision.
