What:

On Monday June 1, 2020, Council passed ordinances 1277-2020 and 1284-2020 to establish the Columbus COVID-19 Small Business Response and Recovery Fund. It is a $5.5 million loan and grant program created to help small businesses in Columbus get through the challenges of COVID-19. This Thursday, June 4, Council wants to hear from the community on the program.  

City representatives will be on hand to answer questions and/or concerns. Public Testimony will be accepted. Comments will be limited to three (3) minutes. 

Any resident seeking to submit testimony in favor of or in opposition to an ordinance is strongly advised to submit their testimony to Councilmember Remy’s office. Written testimony must be received by 2:30pm on the day of the meeting. Testimony should be emailed to Lucy Frank at ljfrank@columbus.gov.

Any resident wishing to appear via WebEx to provide testimony during the virtual hearing should email Lucy Frank at ljfrank@columbus.gov by 2:30pm on the day of the hearing to request a WebEx panelist link.

The hearing will be live-streamed on CTV, the City’s YouTube channel and Facebook.
