WASHINGTON – Small business owners and entrepreneurs will have the opportunity during National Small Business Week, June 16-21, to participate in dynamic speed mentoring sessions to help start and grow their small businesses.
During the speed mentoring sessions, entrepreneurs will be partnered with an experienced mentor from the U.S. Small Business Administration’s resource partner network including Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs), SCORE and Women’s Business Centers (WBC).
The conversation-style sessions will allow participants to offer advice to each other. Topics will range from access to capital, marketing, exporting, to government contracting and sharing best practices for a woman-owned small business.
The speed mentoring sessions are intended for entrepreneurs that run the gamut from high growth start-ups to established main street small businesses. Ultimately, the mentor exchanges will result in an information exchange on starting or growing a business and dialogue on strategies used to stimulate business growth from personal experiences.
