Water Distribution Operator II
This position will monitor data and operations of the water distribution system by reviewing pumping, pressure, flow, and demand data daily. Coordinate with water treatment plant operations and control center manager regarding water supplies, levels, pressures and flows. Make suggestions and adjustments to the distribution system as needed to ensure acceptable water operations and levels in the system. Review data daily to create water operations reports for supervision and management on the operations of the water distribution system. Maintain levels and control points in the SCADA software for water operations and create and correct operation displays for operators on the SCADA system for operations. It will supervise Water Distribution Operator I’s, assign work, approve leave and overtime and complete performance appraisals. Also, ensure all safety and work rules are followed within the water distribution control center.
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess a valid Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) State of Ohio Water Distribution II or an EPA State of Ohio Water Supply II, III, or IV operator certificate and two (2) years of experience in the operation of a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. Also, a valid motor vehicle operator’s license. The salary range for this position is: $64,839 – $97,235 annually.
