New OLBC leadership team to be sworn in and host virtual press conference

COLUMBUS –Ohio Legislative Black Caucus (OLBC) President-elect Rep. Thomas West (D-Canton) announced that the OLBC’s incoming leadership team will host a virtual press conference TODAY, Jan. 4 from 9:30-10 a.m. to introduce the organization’s new leadership team, executive director and newly elected members. The press conference will follow a swearing-in ceremony for the new leadership team conducted in the House Chamber by Justice Melody Stewart of the Ohio Supreme Court beginning at 9 a.m.

The members will discuss a new outreach strategy for the OLBC that focuses on connecting with its local, statewide and national partners. They will be speaking live from the George Washington Williams Room at the Ohio Statehouse, but media will be able to view the swearing-in and press conference via Zoom or the Ohio Channel.
