The Law According To Moses

Freedom, American Style:  Let’s Tell It To The People

By Ambrose Moses, III

“So over you is the greatest enemy a man can have and that is fear. I know some of you are afraid to listen to the truth- you have been raised on fear and lies, but I am going to preach to you the truth until you are free of that fear…”- Malcolm X

Fear will silence your tongue and keep you from saying what needs to be said.  Fear will stop you from doing what needs to be done.  Fear will blind you from the truth and have you believe that ignorance is bliss.  Fear will prevent you from opening your mind and learning the truth.

What are your fears?  Take a moment and make a list of your fears.

What do you want?  Do you already have what you want?  If not, why don’t you have what you want?

What do you need?  Do you already have what you need? If not, why don’t you have what you need?  What makes you happy?  What makes you sad?  What angers you?  What frightens you?  Who are you afraid of?  Why?  Where are you afraid?  Why?  When are you afraid?  Why?

Who are your friends?  Who are your enemies?  Sometimes it is difficult to tell the difference.  Can you tell the difference?  Some folks had a message about Smiling Faces.  “Beware of the handshake . . . there hides a snake.  Beware of the pat on the back.  It just might hold you back.”  Sound like anyone you know?

The point is that each of us, as individuals, and all of us, as “We The People”, must take ultimate responsibility for the condition of our community, city, state, and nation.  That means we must face our fears, support others in facing their fears, and take action.  Say what needs to be said.  Do what needs to be done.  We must open our eyes and minds to see and learn the truth.

To our brothers and sisters in elected office, government employment, and corporate management, have you faced your fears?  (i.e. job security, invitations to the exclusive parties and events, status, etc.)  Are you one of the Smiling Faces of The System?  Do you know?  Do you care?

No matter who you are, the Struggle (and it is a struggle) is not over.

Be fearless and take action!
