Increase Diversity & CSU Extension partner to present disaster preparedness classes

Do you know what disaster preparedness is for a business?

When a hazardous event, emergency, or disaster occurs, there may be resources made available to help some of the individuals, families, businesses, and communities that have been harmed or impacted. But, what do you do until the resources, relief, and assistance reach your business? What if the resources, relief, and assistance don’t reach your business? What if your business doesn’t qualify to access the resources, relief, and assistance when it gets there? What is a disaster anyway? What is disaster management? What is disaster preparedness?

This class will introduce the small business owner to “The Three R’s of Disaster Preparedness”. Participants will learn how to begin the disaster preparedness process. Effective planning and disaster preparedness could be the difference between a business surviving the interruption caused by an emergency and the untimely ending of business operations.
