Sustainable Columbus Coordinator
As part of Mayor Ginther’s Equity Agenda, Sustainable Columbus seeks to expand Climate Action and other planning through equitable engagement and co-creation in Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), and other marginalized communities. This position will directly engage with internal and external stakeholders, assist with program coordination and delivery, and support Sustainable Columbus. Some of the duties will include: Interacting, presenting, and explaining Sustainable Columbus policies, programs, and initiatives proactively (meetings, working groups, virtual conferences) and reactively (responding to inquiries). Coordinating, staffing, and supporting Sustainable Columbus committees, working groups, and other initiatives. Convening, facilitating, staffing, and otherwise supporting community-based Sustainable Columbus programs, policies, and initiatives. Conducting research using appropriate methodologies and assisting in developing and implementing equity and sustainability materials for the community, staff, and other stakeholders.
To be considered for these positions, candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of experience in public or community relations. Substitution(s): A master’s degree in one (1) of the above fields may substitute for one (1) year of the required experience. They must also possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license. The salary range for this position is $52,915 – $79,352 annually.
