Registration is open for 2022 Medical & Health Symposium, April 7 – 9

(COLUMBUS) — The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) has opened registration for the 2022 Medical & Health Symposium. This free, online event for medical and legal professionals will be April 7 – 9 and offers a full lineup of educational, informational, and inspiring sessions. Those interested in attending may register on the event website.

Themed “Comprehensive Care for an Injured Worker,” the online symposium offers an easy-to-use interactive platform, three full days of presentations, and is offering free continuing education credits (CEC) for many health care and legal professions. BWC is seeking CEC approvals for all symposium sessions

“The Medical & Health Symposium is our opportunity to bring together experts from the health care and legal industry to share the latest information on some of the most pressing issues of our time,” said Stephanie McCloud, BWC’s Administrator/CEO. “This year we will feature a live orthopedic surgery done by Dr. Kenneth Westerheide and the team from Orthopedic One. You won’t want to miss it!”

Session topics will include pharmacogenetics and opioid use disorder, alternative pain treatments, legal terms in the medical world, and a presentation by Dr. Bruce Vanderhoff, Ohio Department of Health Director, will present Where are We Now with COVID-19. Special guest Amberley Snyder from the Netflix original movie, “Walk. Ride. Rodeo.,” will tell her personal story of recovery after her rollover motor vehicle accident.
