Welcome to the Ohio Department of Transportation’s (ODOT) 5th Annual Civil Rights Transportation Symposium. We are excited to explore this year’s theme Adapting & Advancing, the Future is Now. The goal of this year’s symposium is to inform our attendees and stakeholders regarding the future and transformation of the transportation industry. Attendees will gain greater insight to ODOT’s commitment to Diversity and Inclusion while connecting businesses, organizations, and individuals to best practices that will help forge partnerships, grow, and improve the transportation industry. Another important focus will be to facilitate discussions among leaders from business, government, and academia that will help define and acknowledge the condition on our current resources and strategize on how as an industry we can all work together to improve our state’s current infrastructure and prepare ourselves for the future of transportation. Despite COVID-19’s crippling effect on the transportation industry and our society as a whole, the Ohio Department of Transportation will continue to Adapt & Advance as we move forward.
