Publisher’s Note: Who is looking out for Black businesses at the Statehouse?

What do the elected Black representatives at the Statehouse do for Black businesses? I see of photo opportunities and fund raising. What do they do? Are they working to get the MBEs whose certifications expired during the pandemic reinstated? Are they working to see that Black businesses get a piece of the medical marijuana business? Are they working to fix the MBE certification page that folk can’t find? As publisher of OhioMBE, I get press releases from many legislators proclaiming their accomplishments. NOTHING from Central Ohio’s Black delegation. #taxationwithoutrepresentation
