Still advocating for Black businesses first thing this morning. I notified a member of the Ohio Black Legislative Caucus that MBEs were removed from the certification program during COVID because their certifications expired. Ohio has given grace and extensions to drivers and taxpayers but not Black-owned businesses that were greatly impacted during the pandemic.
I also mentioned that my state rep Mark Fraizer, a white Republican appears to be more concerned about the issue than Black democrats.
