In our ongoing commitment to advocate for fairness, accountability, and transparency in the business community, OhioMBE is proud to announce the return of the OhioMBE Wall of Shame. This dedicated space on our OhioMBE.com platform will serve as a public record highlighting instances where individuals or organizations have notably failed to uphold ethical standards, demonstrated discriminatory practices, or significantly hindered the progress and fair treatment of minority businesses in Ohio.
Our mission is to not only celebrate successes and milestones within our community but also to shine a light on the challenges and obstacles that minority businesses face. The OhioMBE Wall of Shame will feature documented cases, backed by credible evidence, to ensure that our community is well-informed and prepared to advocate for the change necessary to foster a just and equitable business environment.
As we relaunch this initiative, we acknowledge the latest entries to the Wall of Shame: Columbus City Council, Columbus City Schools, Mayor Andrew Ginther, and his Office of Diversity and Inclusion. These entities have been included based on well-documented instances where their actions or lack thereof have significantly impacted the minority business community in a manner that contradicts our shared values of fairness and equity.
While we regret the need for such a feature, we believe in its power to educate, inform, and, ultimately, drive positive change. By holding accountable those who fail our community, we reinforce our commitment to integrity, fairness, and the betterment of the business landscape for all minority-owned businesses in Ohio.
We stand firm in our belief that transparency and accountability are key to building a stronger, more inclusive economy. Join us in this important step toward a brighter, more equitable future.
