How to attract 70 percent more business

How to attract 70 percent more business

Some people ask me whether or not they should have a website, I answer them with a resounding YES!

Quite honestly, I don’t know why a business owner or entrepreneur wouldn’t have a website, or at the very least, a blog or an online presence.

There is a statistic that I read recently, I don’t remember the source but believe me it stood out in my mind and I haven’t forgotten it; 70% of the people you meet in person will base their final buying decision based on what they find out about you, your product, and your service, online.

That’s huge!

You see, they may like you and you may have captivated their attention, but when they try to find out more about you and you don’t have an online presence, they reconsider, and soon forget about you.

Now I’m not saying that this is always the case, remember, 70% will do this, so you have a fighting chance with the other 30%.

But look at it this way: you are missing out on 70% of your potential revenue by not having an online presence. So if you are someone who says:

  • I don’t have the money to get a website
  • I don’t have the time to get a website together
  • I don’t know what to do for a website
  • I don’t know who to work with
  • I don’t like social media
  • Social media is time-consuming

I have some great news for you!

First, there are a lot of ways to create an online presence that are FREE! Get on social media and do these three things

1. Identify three platforms where your audience hangs out and create profiles there.

2. Set a timer for 20 minutes max and allow that time to be your social media BUSINESS time (no personal browsing during business hours because that’s the real time
sucker)

3. Get a good book on social media or hire a social media expert, they tend to work with groups online and are therefore very affordable.

Second, you can start a blog. A blog is a conversation that you have with your audience. The key is to share useful information that your readers will find value in. You can put your blog URL on your business card and in your social media links so that your conversation gets shared in more than one place.

Finally, and most important, you need to step out of hobby mode and be in entrepreneur mode. If you don’t have an online presence, quite frankly, the perception by most is that you have a hobby, because only serious business owners invest in their business with an online presence.

Now that leads us back to the 70% who base their buying decision on what they find out about you online.

Do you want to give those 70% a good reason to follow up and buy from you? Then get online and give them what they want to see and you most definitely will get your return on time and money when it comes to your online presence.
