Call for Nominations

The Ohio Civil Rights Commission is seeking nominations to the Sixth Annual Ohio Civil Rights Hall of Fame. Community leaders and organizations, business leaders, local businesses, government officials, and members of the public are encouraged to participate in this effort by nominating individuals who have served the State of Ohio as key leaders in the furtherance of equality and the creation of a just society.

This program seeks to recognize the significant contributions made by men and women who have dedicated their lives to advancing civil rights, eliminating barriers to equal opportunity, and promoting cultural awareness in their communities in order to create a more just society for everyone. This year’s honorees will be recognized at an official ceremony that will take place on October 2, 2014 at the Ohio Statehouse.

An official nomination form must accompany each nomination.  Visit http://1.usa.gov/1lyzR6l for nomination guidelines and official entry forms.   All nominations must be post-marked no later than July 7, 2014.
