Request for a Current Statement of Qualifications for Professional Design Services

Columbus City Schools announces a request for a Current Statement of Qualifications for the following types of services:

  1. Architectural design services provided by a licensed architect.  Examples of projects include but are not limited to:
    1. Roof replacement
    2. Masonry repairs and general envelope repairs
    3. Minor renovations
    4. Accessibility renovations
    5. Feasibility and planning studies and facility condition assessments
  2. Engineering design services provided by a licensed engineer.  Examples of projects include but are not limited to:
    1. Fire alarm replacement
    2. Mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC upgrades and repairs
    3. Structural analysis and structural repairs
    4. Efficiency enhancement projects
    5. Chilled water plant upgrades at data center
  3. Site design services provided by either a licensed civil engineer or landscape architect.  Examples of projects include but are not limited to:
    1. Parking lot repair, replacement, and expansion
    2. Playground replacement
    3. Running track repair and replacement
    4. Site drainage repairs

No informational meeting will be scheduled.

Pursuant to ORC 153.71, the district will maintain current statements of qualifications on file for one year and use this file to select design firms for upcoming professional design services needs for which design fees are estimated to be less than $50,000.00.  In determining the firm that is most qualified, the Submittals will be evaluated pursuant to ORC 153.65-691 based on the following criteria: professional qualifications of key members of design team, relevant past work of prospective firms, other applicable consultants, quality control procedures, response to CCS Community Inclusion Policy, (Local Economic & Disadvantaged Enterprise goal is 20% participation), location of primary firm relative to project locations.  The board reserves the right to select multiple firms and to interview those firms to determine the most qualified firm for a particular project.  Fees will be negotiated. The district reserves the right to reject any and all statements of qualifications and to waive any informality, irregularity, or failure to conform to the instructions contained in this public announcement.

Responding firms are to submit one (1) electronic copy in PDF format of Parts I and II of a modified version of the SAO F110-330 Statement of Qualifications form as supplied by the district.  The form may be obtained from the following web address: http://www.ccsoh.us/OfficeofCapitalImprovements.aspx .  Part I is limited to 25 pages.  Questions may be directed to Alex Trevino, Director of Capital Improvements at (614) 365-5610 or atrevino3260@columbus.k12.oh.us .  Address submittals to Capital Improvements, Columbus City Schools, 889 E. 17th Ave., Columbus, OH 43211.  Deadline for submittals is FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 2015 at 3:00 pm.  Submittals received outside of this window will not be considered.
