Balanced Budget
The members of the Ohio delegation, including Congressmen Pat Tiberi, Bill Johnson, Dave Joyce, Jim Renacci, Bob Gibbs and Jim Jordan, made the right choice in voting to pass the House Republican Budget. This framework will balance the budget within a decade, helping America to be well positioned for future economic success. Because moving towards a balanced budget requires tough but necessary choices, we are thankful for the legislators that voted for this framework because America deserves a balanced budget.
The House Republican Budget has many components, but to me the key point is that the framework will balance the budget within a decade. Every family knows that the key to running a stable household is ensuring that their budget is balanced. The same should be true for the American government. With the national debt rising every day, balancing the budget ought to be a priority.
Pat Tiberi and his House colleagues accepted the challenge of making a plan which will balance our budget within the decade in the House Republican Budget. This plan will foster economic growth which will benefit individuals, families, businesses, and the nation as a whole. I am hopeful that both chambers will reconcile their budgets soon so that the American economy can experience the strength and stability that will result from the framework in the House Republican Budget
