The Girls in Africa Need Our Help

Giving Faith and Hope is a Non-Profit Organization, founded by Angela Mate, that is registered in the State of Ohio. Giving Faith and Hope is compassionately dedicated to improving the lives of girls in rural Africa who are adversely affected by the inequalities in the society. They  strive to help these young people with knowledge and tools that can improve their health, wellness, and access to educational opportunities.

Angela was born in Kenya. She grew up in what would be considered middle class but she still felt the pangs of lack. She’s so grateful to God for the opportunity to be in America and does not want to forget the girl child who is unable to meet basic needs like sanitary towels causing her to miss school every month. Over the years she helped as much as she could through other organizations but last year after launching her debut album she strongly felt it was time to use that platform to mobilize more help. She registered the organization, welcomed likeminded people to join the board of directors. The board comprises a mixture of Americans and Africans.

The motto of Giving Faith and Hope is you can run faster alone but you can go further when you join forces.

Sadly, statistics show that in Kenya alone over 900,000 schoolgirls coming from poor backgrounds cannot afford to buy commercial sanitary pads. This leads to girls missing 3.6 million school days per month. Other options are available, like re-usable pads, but due to sanitary conditions this is not a viable option.

“In order to meet our mission and provide services to these promising girls, we rely on the generosity of individuals, churches, and businesses for support. Without the assistance of compassionate individuals like you, we wouldn’t be able to serve and build the dreams of these vulnerable girls,” she said.
