Walsh Construction seeks bids for City of Toledo, Ohio Waterways Initiative Phase II Downtown Storage Basin

Walsh Construction encourages bids from all qualified subcontractors/suppliers including WBE/MBE firms for the – City of Toledo, Ohio Waterways Initiative Phase II Downtown Storage Basin until 9:00AM EST, on June 6, 2017.

DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT:

In general, the Work consists of the furnishing of all labor, material, equipment, etc. for the Toledo Waterways Initiative, Phase II, Downtown Storage Basin including but not limited to the construction of the following:

  1. Construct a storage basin facility that includes a below grade 17 MG concrete storage basin with a dewatering pump station and flushing gates system to clean the basin.
  2. Provide conveyance piping to route the flow to the storage basin as follows:• A 48” sewer to convey flow from the existing sewer at the intersection of Locust and Water Streets to the existing tunnel at the intersection of Lagrange and Water Streets.• A 108” tunnel to convey flow from the existing tunnel structure at the intersection of Lagrange and Water Streets to the storage basin.• A 72” sewer to convey flow from the existing sewer at the intersection of Magnolia and Water Streets to the storage basin.
  3. Modify the existing Downtown Tunnel drop shaft structures on Superior Street at the intersections of Orange, Jackson, Adams and Jefferson Streets to provide additional hydraulic capacity at these structures.

Work scopes include demo, auger boring, concrete sidewalks and curbs, chain link fences and gates, landscaping, concrete, masonry, metal fabrication, rough carpentry, roofing, doors and windows, drywall, painting, HVAC and electrical.
