Columbus City Schools’ Communication Crisis: A Continued Call for Change

In the ongoing saga of ineffective communication, Columbus City Schools once again left parents and students in the lurch. This morning, a calamity day was declared at the untimely hour of 5:45 am, catching many off guard, especially those waiting for buses.

The frustration echoed on the district’s Facebook page with comments like, “why so late in letting us know” and “You should make your decisions a little earlier, maybe like by 5 am.” One parent shared, “My call came at 5:45; we were already outside. My son’s bus comes at 5:51.”

It’s a recurring pattern of failure, leaving the community questioning the district’s ability to communicate effectively. The need for change is evident – the same leadership will yield the same results. The community and taxpayers deserves better.
